Safe & Just Michigan reduces the harm caused by both crime and unnecessary incarceration. We advance evidence-based reforms that improve public safety while eliminating unnecessary and wasteful corrections spending.

We conduct research, educate, advocate and mobilize support for smart investments in services and programs proven to reduce crime and promote healthy, thriving communities.

We partner with Michigan organizations and leaders across the political spectrum, including business and community leaders, faith communities, crime survivor organizations, formerly incarcerated individuals, prisoners and their families, as well as Michigan taxpayers statewide. We hold in common the certainty that we can build a safer and more just Michigan.
